Director’s Statement
A New Leash On Life was made to surprise and delight audiences by subversively exploring pet euthanasia through the talking dog genre. We’re proud that this independent Vancouver production reunites Canadian comedy icons Fred Ewanuick and Nancy Robertson of Corner Gas, and introduces Riverton, perhaps the most beautiful (and energetic) golden lab to ever grace a film set. We hope it resonates with animal lovers everywhere by offering some levity to the inevitably tragic conclusion to being a pet owner.
